Ashtead Living’s favourite place to celebrate Guy Fawkes

At Ashtead Living, we LOVE bonfire night and all the fireworks that go with it. Luckily, there are a wealth of options on offer in the local, so you'll be able to find one easily without having to go far. Here are our favourites:

EPSOM

Epsom fireworks also have a funfair and is one of the bigger displays in Surrey this year. What's great is that there are two displays in total - one for kids who don't like loud noises, and then the main display too. You can get food and drink too, to make it a proper night out for all.

Time: Gates open at 5:30pm. The low noise children’s display begins at 6.30pm and the main display begins at 7.30pm.

BROCKHAM

Brokham Fireworks is a big community affair. Local volunteers work tirelessly to put the display on - both building the bonfire and lighting the fireworks themselves. There's a torchlight procession of the guy which leaves Brockham Green, accompanied by the Marching Sea Cadet Band. It raises funds through donations and car parking with over £20,000 a year given to local organisations and causes.

Time: Lighting of the bonfire at 7.45pm. At 6:35pm the torchlight Procession leaves Brockham Green and firework display at 8.15pm.

Surrey’s bonfire night events vary in size - from small local shows, to bigger firework displays.

Address: Brockham, Betchworth RH3 7JS

WESTHUMBLE

Like the Brockham fireworks, Westhumble's local community set up their own bonfire and display in one of their local fields. The bonfire takes many, many hands to build in the run-up to Guy Fawkes weekend, with a procession also going through the local streets. If you're looking for a smaller affair, where parking isn't an issue, then this is the one for you. Donations are made in place of ticket sales.

Time: Torchlight procession from the junction of Burney Road, Chapel Lane and Adlers lane starting at 5.30 with the bonfire lit soon after

Address: Westhumble field, off Adlers Lane
