THE IVY COBHAM.

Great Food, Festive Vibes and Awesome Service

Tucked away on the corner of Cobham High Street, The Ivy restaurant offers an all-day dining experience, set against walls covered in artwork and other stylish furniture. It means it's a great spot to head to for all manner of reasons - a celebratory dinner, brunch with the girls, or an indulgent lunch when a sandwich from Pret just won't cut it. We were recently invited to go along for supper, to view the outdoor terrace (which can be rented separately for events), and to see the new Xmas menu.

As we walked passed an enormous polar bear statue dressed in a Xmas jumper outside (!), we went in to be greeted by a big smile from the maitre'd. She walked us to our table in the conservatory area of the restaurant. The entire restaurant itself is absolutely enormous with lots of different sections, hiding just how big it really is. That's great as it still feels pretty intimate, helped by its decadent decor. One thing we love about the Ivy in general is that even though it has plenty of restaurants these days, the decor still feels interesting and different - which is hard for most chain restaurants to achieve.

At our table, we worked our way through the menus. We started with the cocktail list which has some festive drinks to try and then the wine list, which has a wine for every budget. It was pretty extensive too, with lots of interesting picks to try out. We settled for the house rose, which was decent, but there were plenty of other exciting options to explore. For food, you can choose from either the set festive menu, which comes in at £60 for three courses, or a la carte. We went for the latter which has a wide range of options which made picking just one a tough decision.

What we did have though, was delicious. That being said, the Ivy is not a cheap night out. Most starters begin at about £15, with the main courses obviously costing more still, and some of them need a side dish to ensure you get some veggies included. However, for a treat meal, the pricing isn't too exorbitant, and, to be perfectly frank, we overordered so we didn't need starters or nibbles to bein the meal either. Also, the food was great quality, which makes paying a little more than you may do at a standard pub, that bit more palatable (literally).

But what really made the night was the top-notch service. The staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and made sure we had everything we needed. They were spot-on with their recommendations, making our dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

Overall, with the vibe at The Ivy Cobham being cosy and festive, and setting the mood just right for a holiday meal with friends or family, you're onto a winner if you try it for any celebrations this Silly Season. Their new Christmas menu gives you a lot for your money, and the cocktail and wine selections are diverse and interesting. The service here is fab, making any visit a pleasant one. Whether you're diving into their festive menu or trying their regular dishes, The Ivy Cobham promises a great dining experience filled with good food, holiday cheer, and fantastic service.
