THE BEST FARM SHOPS IN SURREY
There are countless farm shops in Surrey - which is great, but it can be really overwhelming too. Yet, finding a good one means stumbling upon a treasure trove of goodies as, while farm shops are obviously really great for food, they typically offer so much more. From flowers, to toys and trinkets, a farm shop is often the perfect place to find the perfect present, whilst also picking up some yummy food for supper.
We’ve done a lot of research into the best farm shops in the county (and now have the bellies to show it). Here are our favourites:
Ferma Farm Shop, Ripley
In the picturesque village of Ripley, Ferma Farm Shop is a treat to visit. You’ll want to buy everything from the moment you step in, and whatever you do buy won’t leave you disappointed. The shop is keen to sell sustainable food and quality produce and will often be seen championing produce when it is in season and at its best. The experienced team carefully picks their suppliers, which clearly shows in the range of fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats, seafood, and fresh fish.
Kingfisher Farm Shop, Abinger Hammer
Tucked away in the pretty village of Abinger Hammer, Kingfisher Farm Shop offers a diverse array of produce - including fruit and veg, but also local dairy products, fresh bread, meat&fish and British wine. It’s great to see the shop supporting local growers and producers, with the shop priding itself on its commitment to quality and sustainability. It’s also got a fantastic flower shop on site too, which offers good value bouquets that are a league above flowers bought from your local supermarket.
Garsons Farm Shop, Esher
Located in Esher, Garsons Farm Shop is a haven for foodies in search of the finest local fare. With its extensive selection of fresh produce (some available to pick for yourself!) and gourmet treats, Garsons offers a true farm-to-table experience. From fruits and vegetables to artisanal goods, this shop has so much to offer. Kids will love coming here for the toy shop, and adults will love the cafe.
Secretts Farm Shop, Milford
Based in the quaint village of Milford, Secretts Farm Shop sells numerous local producers of fruit and veg, aritsan craft beer, local gin makers, meat and, finally, wine! It’s a real treat for the senses when you visit here with Secretts’ own kitchen making fresh foods too - such as quiche and soups. We also love it for pumpkin picking and Halloween trails in October.
Priory Farm Shop, Nutfield
As part of the wider Priory Farm estate (which is a great day out for families), the Priory Farm shop is a fantastic place to pick up seasonable fresh produce, such as asparagus, wild garlic or rhubarb - depending on the time of year. It’s a good idea to go armed with a shopping list so you don’t over purchase as everything is so good, that you’ll want to buy it all. It’s no surprise, then, that it has won many awards over the years, including Surrey Life Farm Shop of the Year.
