What we like about them

Based in a beautifully serene garden studio in Ashtead, Ashtead Aesthetics is run by Michelle Carter. Michelle is a seasoned nurse, with over 25 years of experience in NHS Emergency care, and started providing aesthetic treatments a number of years ago now. Her practice has gone from strength to strength, and she now offers a variety of injectable and facial treatments including Profhilo, skin boosters and microneedling. Recently, Michelle has added a skin analysis machine to her clinic, which takes photos of your skin and analyses it for sensitivity, wrinkles, spots, UV damage and the strength of the skin’s barrier - it means you can zone in on problems even more quickly. 

What we loved about going to see Michelle was how calm her clinic was, but clearly how knowledgeable she is about skin care. Her years of medical experience mean you are in safe hands, and the number of certificates on her wall makes it plain to see her expertise. She also obviously wants what is best for her customers, working with them to tweak and improve their skin to help them feel better about themselves. While her customer base is predominantly women, she treats men too and is able to adapt her recommendations quickly and readily to suit her customers' needs. 

That is demonstrated in her long list of treatments. Yes, the usual suspects are there, be they a chemical peel (using the wonderful brand Alumier) or Botox to freeze those lines on your forehead or frown. But, she also offers facials, dermaplaning, cryotherapy and radio frequency - to name just a few. Customers can start with an initial skin consultation (either using her snazzy new machine or without) and begin their plan from there. 

In terms of pricing, aesthetics are never cheap and require regular visits to maintain their efficacy. However, Michelle’s pricing is great value, especially considering her experience and skill.
